Chaired by Todd Sorrell, who recently left as a partner of a large international law firm to join AFRCT, our employment practice includes proactive planning, documenting employment compensation structures, separation agreements, and defending employers in employment litigation. Employment litigation that we handle ranges from defending against individual claims to handling major wage and hour and other types of class actions and collective actions.
We often assist companies in implementing “best practices” with their workforce to comply with applicable employment laws and to minimize future claims. This includes the review of privacy and leave issues, providing company training, as well as preparing and updating employee handbooks and policies.
Clients engage us to prepare or update employee handbooks, draft employment related agreements such as compensation arrangements, stock option agreements, incentive compensation terms, phantom stock agreements, independent contractor agreements, severance agreements, and confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements.
